I Spit on Your Grave

Well, ain’t this a quaint little film. Having never seen this before tonight (Disclaimer: Not a huge fan of rape/revenge outside of Last House on the Left), I can in no way see how this film is considered controversial. I mean c’mon people! On a related note, sarcasm is a lost art.

A sweet girl gets brutally raped and beaten by a group of guys. They rape her real good you see, and it’s graphic as hell. My first thought, I wonder if people have jerked off to this film? Once I got over my theoretical question of major importance; I buckled down and watched the rest of the film. After the raping and the thinking the girl is dead, the guys run back to their family and friends. Destined to live the good life forever and ever. The girl, meanwhile, begins plotting her revenge. This, of course, conflicts with what the guys had planned. They thought they could just rape away and not get caught. They were wrong. Dead wrong. You see, raping is not good. And sometimes the sweet little girl that you rape trains for a year to kill you real good like. And when it happens, you deserve it.

Onto the dirty bits.

I found it odd that the girl, in executing her kill plan, decided to sex up with her first couple victims (again). The first guy, well, he gets his hung by a rope until he is dead. Though, it is important to note, that he finally got off. He had some problems earlier during the rape, but he finally overcame them during his last few breaths on Earth. The second guy’s death will haunt my nightmares until the day I die. Lorena Bobbit and the Mom from Last House have nothing on this one. During some sexy bath time, the girl begins a nice tug job (aka “manually stimulates his genital region”) on guy #2. Just as he is about to fill the tub with some man-gravy, she chops his dick off with a knife. My first thought: Every nine year-old boy should watch this film.

This is one of those films that everyone has to experience for themselves, even if it is just to say that you have seen it. Now I’m off to remove all the knives from my house.
